Linus Wolfe Tolliday

bio

Trained in film at the Victorian College of the Arts,
Linus is a director based in Melbourne, Australia, with a
focus on technical formalism while dismantling traditional
narrative structures. They use notions of place and identity as
canvases for narrative experimentations.

Linus's graduating work, Journey's End (2023), was shot
on 16mm film. They have a demonstrated interest in the plastic
elements of filmmaking, working in archive producing and
research on a number of features, including Aquarius (2024)
and Dale Frank – Nobody's Sweetie (2024), both of which
featured at Sydney Film Festival.

Linus is currently writing their next short, titled
Quarters, about a misdelivered letter and one
person's odyssey to return it to the intended recipient.
